My first printeregg
It's fun to unbox a surprise inside an easter egg
It feels good to print your ideas
This is a printeregg and what this website is all about
Photo by me
Here I will explain where the scheme I use to present this and future works come from, how i designed my first product, the build instruction for this collectible and obviously where you can get this.
Skip to the end of the post! The juicy part is down there.
The egg and the grinder are on the table

If you lived in italy as a child you will know the thrill to receive an easter egg. At the end of the long lunch with your parents, you open the chocolate egg going straight for the surprise, after a gentle shake to the plastic shell trying to guess the little toy inside, you open it to reveal the surprise, and you always feel naively amazed, it doesn’t really matter how old you are.
Lot’s of you probably devour the chocolate egg and forget about the little present inside, but for me those surprises meant a lot when I was a kid, or maybe is just that I had to struggle through a couple of apetizer, two first course, three second course, tons of roasted potatoes and some salad that no one ever cares about. After all of that, chocolate is just too much.
Print yourself a surprise: the PokeGrinder
I love surprises, to build toys and to design in a three-dimensional environment, so i tried to combine these hobbies, creating my first PrinterEgg, something you can print, something that resambles an easteregg surprise, that you can build having a moment of airiness and fun.
Some sort of collectible, and yet something more.
The PokeGrinder started as a remix of the Toothless herb grinder. I was looking for 3 main features: the resemblance with the iconic ball, a catchment area and an hidden storage area. After a couple of years I decided it was time for a restile: I wanted a customizable PokeGrinder with different styles and types, to let everyone decide their favourite combination.
A unique all in one gadget to accompany your adventures, gotta grind it all!
Gotta grind it all

- 5 different kind of Grinder: you can chose between the PokeGrinder, the UltraGrinder, the MegaGrinder the MasterGrinder and the SafariGrinder;
- 7 different type for the top half: chose your favourite type with grass, lightning, fighting, psychic, water, fire and colorless;
- 4 different style for the bottom half: for the finishing touch chose the blades that you prefer.
Depending on the request that this model will have I intend to expand the project with more variety.
For now it’s time to download, print and build your first personalized PrinterEgg.
Pokegrinder: Build instructions
Website under construction
The website is still under construction, for now feel free to download the standard PokeGrinder from Thingiverse, soon you will find the complete version
Hello, I LOVE this grinder!!! I ask could you send me a file for the other Grinder_type_colorless.stl files i see them in the pictures but would really love to print. Thank you BSQ
I didn’t expected this website to get any attention soon since it’s in its early stages and I have too much work to do here before it’s ready to receive any user…
Anyway the only available grinder blades right now are the one you can find on thingiverse, Grinder_type_colorless.stl and Grinder_style_smooth.stl, with the standard pokeball at this link: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3569812
I’m working on a way to put this and several other models for sale (for a symbolic price) but I’ve to fully understand how trademarks, copyrights and all this stuff works and I’ve to decide where to put the files: on this very website or on some other platform, unfortunatly this might take some times due to my other commitment.
I’ll save your email and reply to you directly as soon as I’ll be able to set everything up if it’s ok for you!
Thanks!
Beautiful idea, I guess this will be a total new thread from now on! Grinders will never be the same. Please let us know as soon as possible 🙂
